a LOLs moment the other day.
You know I’ve been called a lot of names.. heretic, pagan, devil worshipper, blasphemer, and so on. But yesterday someone called me a misguided brother and then called me now an unbeliever. Hehe there’s something new. :)
Jesus Pahhty.: Bible vs. Church today →
whizzpopping:
Bible: Jesus came to earth, did miracles to set captives free because He loved people, became sin, took our sins away from us, died on the cross, was resurrected proclaiming Good News of victory over hell, judgment, and death and sent all believers out to demonstrate as such with authority over sickness, disease, death, and sin. Christ received the ‘judgment’ for sin and as such,...

Wowwwww. Such good news.
Oh that’s interesting because I don’t really know many gospels like this being preached in many pulpits across America. But maybe I just don’t have a lot of experience going to the roughly 320,000 churches in America.
That said, while I don’t necessarily condone Driscoll’s message, I think many people just hear what they want to hear instead of...

There exists within the heart of every man, woman and child that has ever been born a subconscious awareness that they were born to be conquerors. The world we are born into does everything that it can to suppress it — to push it down and silence the inward burning for greatness to arise. Systemized religions do all they can to dumb it down and instead create mindless drones with no vision...

After a restless, complaining, whining, distressed year night, it’s always in the morning when you sober up. It’s then when you realize, why all the fuss. There’s really nothing to fuss about.. I actually have it really good. I have family, friends, a roof, food, school, friends, family. I guess it’s true that circumstances only become circumstantial depending on which...

quick rant
The message of grace: to the unrenewed mind grace means license to sin while to the renewed mind grace means freedom from sin.
When paul preached the message of grace, the gentiles heard it as “license to sin” when paul meant it as “freedom from sin.”
There’s no such thing as hyper-grace… oh wait, maybe to the unrenewed mind Preach grace and then live it....

10th week! part 2
37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]

“The word people use for this supposed process of killing the old self is ‘sanctification.’ It is widely believed that sanctification is a lifelong, extended journey of becoming holy. A process of removing sin - progressively having one’s soul purged over an entire lifetime…
The moment you were saved, you were set apart for God. Sanctification is not a process....

A friend once told me that I should “shut up listen” to what the majority were saying. That if the majority of brothers and sisters were disagreeing with me that I should stop being arrogant and rethink my questions and beliefs. If asking questions and challenging the majority is being cynical, arrogant, and narrow-minded then Jesus, the apostles, and the early Christian church were the most...

”What luck for dictators that men do not think.” -Hitler When you challenge a generation to ask questions like WHY and HOW and provoke them to THINK, then revolution is inevitable; a reformation is inevitable. “In a time of universal DECEIT, telling the TRUTH is a revolutionary act.”

You ARE UNIFIED in one Spirit with God in Christ Jesus. You are ALREADY close to God. There’s no such thing as “progressively” getting closer to God. There’s no last minute spit-shine to get “closer” to God. (Col 3:2-3, 1 Cor :17, Gal 2:20)

A Reformation is coming to the Church whether you like it or not. It’s your choice whether to defend and support 1700 years of traditions of man that could possibly be not entirely correct or choose the actual “Word of God” aka Jesus. I’m sorry if this offends anyone.

SO GOOD

I get scared when I hear “christian leaders” teach their congregation WHAT to think rather than HOW to think. When a generation learns HOW to think, revolution is inevitable. Religion will always defend and enforce tradition over truth.
We will not stop.
It does not take a majority to prevail… but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.
Samuel Adams

It’s so easy to pump up a generation to live out a “Christocentric gospel” that emphasizes that Truth is above experience, but when confronted with the reality of Christ, we dumb down Truth to our level of experience because our lives don’t mirror the supernatural lifestyle of Christ. Thus giving birth to “dumb” theology. There I said it.

I knew sharing the message of grace of Jesus to the world was a controversial and dangerous message, but I guess it goes for the same, maybe even worse, with believers…
21 Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law? 22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born...

I’m sorry, I realized how much I misunderstood the gospel message this whole time. More than a relationship Jesus wanted a religion! Thank you Jesus for religion!
I love religion because it gives me a daily reminder of how much God thinks I suck and how much God dislikes me.
Sounds like the real deal!

"lead me from the cross"
whizzpopping:
Jesus is no longer on the cross.
He’s risen, seated in Heavenly places. (We’re seated with Him)
We don’t serve a dead/dying Jesus.
We serve a risen King.

There’s a difference between knowing the bible versus knowing the Word of God and there’s a difference knowing scripture versus knowing Truth. The latter one is a Person compared to the prior which is ink on paper. We were created for a relationship with the Living Word not aggressive memorization. Truth has a name, Jesus.
Scripture interpreted by scripture leads to law and...

Just because you deserved hell doesn’t mean you were meant for it. Christ who seemed to come after Adam was really before him. Christ is your original, primary nature. I suggest some of us should change our “prayer vocabulary”.

The current tension with the church isn’t against the world but is against those who have the same heavenly Father but their mother is law, not grace. It’s grace that allows humanity to take off their old rags of condemnation and put on new garments of praise. It’s grace that allows us to be FREE from the dominion of sin and it transfers us to a new kingdom. It’s...
